CAM035L — 0.25″ Straight Brass Pick
The CAM035L pairs a 0.25″ straight shank with the same conical point used across the CAM035 series, on a 14″ handle. It’s the un-bent counterpart to the CAM035K, offering the same added stiffness over the thinner 0.125″ and 0.1875″ straight picks (CAM035B and CAM035D) without the reach limitations a bend introduces.
A mold represents real capital sitting on a lab bench, and it’s easy to reach for whatever’s closest — a screwdriver, an awl, a steel pick — when a cavity needs clearing. Those tools cut into hardened mold steel faster than most people expect. Brass sacrifices itself first, which is the entire point of keeping a dedicated set on hand.
Choose the straight L when your access point runs in a direct line — parting surfaces, open cavities, flat mold faces — and save the bent K for anything tucked around a corner.
